Children's Hospital Colorado has elected to close some of its locations, including a therapy care clinic in Highlands Ranch, to encourage social distancing.

The therapy care center, at 9139 South Ridgeline Blvd., will be closed until at least April 5, according to a news release from the hospital. 

“In order to support social distancing and preserve personal protection equipment, Children's Colorado is closing select locations to consolidate clinical services and limiting appointments and elective procedures/surgeries and diagnostic radiological studies,” according to the release. 

While the emergency department and urgent care center at the Highlands Ranch campus will be open, staff is asking residents not to come in unless there is a medical emergency or they are directed to do so by a doctor. 

The hospital system is also limiting visitiations, using telehealth appointments when possible and requiring non-essential staff to work remotely. 

Other closures include the therapy care center in Parker, orthopedic care in Centennial and outpatient and urgent care centers in both Uptown Denver and Wheat Ridge.

Clinic staff is communicating these changes to appropriate families, according to the release.
