Spectrum, the annual Arapahoe Community College community art class student and instructor art exhibition, is open at ACC’s Colorado Gallery of the Arts through June 27. Gallery hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Closing reception: June 27, 5 to 7 p.m. Free. The gallery is at the main ACC campus at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton.

Natura Obscura

Natura Obscura, the immersive art exhibit — a magical surrounding — is open through Sept. 29 at the Museum of Outdoor Arts’ Indoor Gallery in the Englewood Civic Center, 1000 Englewood Parkway, second floor, Englewood. Ticket prices vary according to time and day. Would be fun for a summer outing for the family — or visitors from afar. See naturaobscura.org.

Chamber music

The Denver Chamber Music Festival presents “Love is in the Air” at 7:30 p.m. on June 8 and at 2:30 p.m. on June 9 at the University of Denver’s Newman Center (University Boulevard and Iliff Avenue). newmantix.com, 303-871-7720.

Englewood Camera Club

Joe Bonita will speak to the Englewood Camera Club at 7 p.m. June 11 at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 6400 S. University Blvd., Centennial. Topic: “Creating High Impact Images.” Guests welcome.

Butterflies

Now open for the summer: Butterflies at Chatfield Farms, 6500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton. (From Wadsworth Boulevard south of just south of C-470, head west a short distance on Deer Creek Canyon Road.) Presented with the Butterfly Pavilion. Tickets are in addition to Chatfield Farms admission. Tickets: $2/$4; Gardens and Pavilions members free. Hang out with swallowtails and other pollinators that feed on plants growing in the space. Include a look at low-water gardening methods at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms.

Summer concerts in Englewood

Englewood Arts presents summer matinees of chamber music: ($15) Hampden Hall, 1000 Englewood Parkway, second floor. At 2 p.m. on June 26 is Piano Trios, Yi Zhao, violin, Zachary Reaves, cello, Linda Angkasa, piano: Mendelsohn Piano Trio and TBA. At 2 p.m. July 19 is The Ivy Ensemble, Erik Peterson, violin, Philip Stevens, viola, Catherine Peterson, flute: Mozart, Duo for Violin and Viola; Beethoven, Serenade. At 2 p.m. on July 17 is Brahms Clarinet Sonata, Kloghardt, Schiflieder Messager, Solo de Concours. Jason Shafer, clarinet; Ian Wisekal, oboe; Joshua Sawicki, piano.

‘Tails of Painted Cats’

The Depot Art Gallery 2069 W. Powers Ave., Littleton presents “Tails of Painted Cats,” for the Cat Care Society, through June 23. Reception, June 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. (The 57th Anniversary Show will remain on the walls around the cat sculptures, painted by artists as a fundraiser for the society.) 303-795-0781.

Rox Arts

Rox Arts Gallery at Aspen Grove hosts a Second Friday reception each month from 5:30 to 8 p.m. (Next — June 13.) Meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, learn of future painting classes, including Mary Ann Leake’s “Paint a Masterpiece” series. Gallery is open daily. Inquire about other classes and membership. Arapahoe Philharmonic

Two free summer concerts by the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra.
