Colorado Ballet performs holiday classic ‘Nutcracker’

Colorado Ballet presents its 59th annual production of “The Nutcracker” at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Denver, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 29. There are evening and matinee performances scheduled. (Some are sold out and others have limited availability — reservations are suggested.) Tickets start at $40, coloradoballet.org or 303-837-8888. (New sets and costumes are planned for next season.)

‘Parfumerie’

It’s been the back story for a couple of hit movies — “Bookshop Around the Corner” and “You’ve Got Mail” as well as the musical, “She Loves Me” — and “Parfumerie” by E.P. Dowdall remains a charming piece of theatrical comedy on its own. Benchmark Theatre at 40 West Arts, 1560 Teller St. in Lakewood, presents “Parfumerie” through Dec. 22, directed by Rachel Rogers. Performances: 8 p.m. Friday and Sat.; 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets: $30/$25, benchmarktheatre.com.

ACC Holiday Concerts

Arapahoe Community College’s free Holiday Concerts will be presented in the Waring Theatre on the main campus at 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton: Dec. 3, 7 p.m., ACC Choir; Dec. 6, 1 p.m., pop/rock ensemble and fusion combo; Dec. 6, 7 p.m., jazz ensemble; Dec. 9, 7 p.m., string ensemble.

Castle Rock Senior Center Players

A new drama group in Castle Rock, the Castle Rock Senior Center Players, will perform “The Mouse and the Raven” and “The Eskimos Have Landed” at 1 p.m. on Nov. 25. Tickets: $2. The center is at 2328 Woodlands Blvd.

‘A Christmas Carol’
