Community invited to celebrate Juneteenth with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is participating in Juneteenth festivities and is inviting the community to attend its Juneteenth events which take place June 18-20.

The events range from virtual and in-person offerings, indoor and outdoor settings, and free and ticketed events.

Juneteenth events with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance

June 18

2-8 p.m.: Juneteenth Music and Dance Livestream

This free livestream event will feature a variety of entertainment. Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is expected to perform between 6-8 p.m. The entire program can be viewed on Denver Community Media TV channels Comcast 56 & 881HD, and on the Juneteenth Facebook Page. The event is free but a registration ticket is required for access link.

June 19

Juneteenth Panel Discussions:

10 a.m. — Afro-Futurism

Noon — The Entertainment Industry in Black

2 p.m. — Black Business and Impact of Sports

The panel discussions are available as an in-person event with a limited attendance of 150 people, or virtually. Tickets must be purchased in advance and cost $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children for either in-person attendance or virtual attendance. Each ticket allows attendance to all three panel discussions. Panel discussions are expected to last 90 minutes each. June 19 and 20

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Walk-up COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine Clinic in the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ampitheatre. This event will feature in-person vaccination registration with English and Spanish-speaking health professionals onsite. The Colorado Department of Health and the Environment (CDPHE) will administer Pfizer vaccines.

Juneteenth Pop-Up History Museum in the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theatre Lobby. This exhibit features the history of Denver's Juneteenth celebrations. It is curated by Holly K. Hurd and sponsored by the Rose Community Foundation. It is free to view the exhibit. Limited attendance allows for no more than 40 attendees at one time.
