Golden’s own CoorsTek is talking about thinking both globally and locally to meet its customers’ needs.

“We want to be the world leader in engineered ceramic materials manufacturing and that’s why we lean heavily on our research and development teams to innovate technologies, eliminate barriers and support our customers’ unique challenges,” said Jonathan Coors, co-CEO of CoorsTek, “Our focus is not on making our solutions interesting to the global market — it’s on partnering with local product development teams and taking a deep dive into customer needs.”

CoorsTek is a manufacturing company that produces ceramic components for industry, including automotive, semiconductor, defense and aerospace, energy and more. It started in 1910, and today is in its fifth generation of family members holding positions such as CEO and other roles.

Headquartered in Golden, CoorsTek employs more than 1,200 people locally and has more than 50 locations worldwide, including throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Its most recent location to open is in Uden, The Netherlands, which was marked by a ribbon-cutting celebration in July.

“One of our key values is our customer focus,” Coors said. “From the development of ceramic materials in the medical device to semiconductor industries, we aim to design better, more efficient and longer-lasting products to meet our customer’s needs and challenges.”
