The southeast parking lot of Park Meadows mall turned into a drive-in for a night.
A Garth Brooks live pop-up concert took place June 27 at the Lone Tree shopping complex, attracting dozens of country fans for a semblance of a concert experience.
Groups of fewer than 10 social distanced themselves from others. Several cars were tuned into a radio broadcast synchronized with the video monitor.
Brooks is holding live pop-up concerts like the one at Park Meadows throughout the country while concerts remain on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It's the first pandemic concert ever, and it went off without a hitch,” said an attendee, Kendall Cady of Centennial. “It just feels good.”
