Springtime means it is gardening season, and especially with extra time at home for most folks, it seems an especially good time for it.

Plum Creek Garden Market opened up for limited store and drive through service on April 30, at its Denver, Golden and Castle Rock locations.

“With people staying at home, we’ve seen a tremendous response from the community to focus on beautifying their gardens. We’ve also seen an increase in vegetable sales. Creating these pop-up markets have been a terrific way for us to bring more flowers to the people,” said Matt Niemann, general manager of Plum Creek Garden Market.

Plum Creek Garden Market will limit the number of shoppers inside the gates, and increase handwashing stations and cleaning frequency to allow customers to shop safely during the pandemic.

Other area garden centers have also reopened with different accomodations. O'Tooles centers feature reserved shopping time slots, and special store restrictions to help keep staff and customers safe.

City Floral Garden Center in Denver is also open, with special social distancing guidelines in place. The garden blog also specifically talks about the benefits of gardening during COVID-19 restrictions.
