Exhibits coming at new facility in Denver Botanic Gardens

The new Freyer-Newman Center at the Denver Botanic Gardens, York Street, has several exhibits starting Sept. 26. Timed tickets must be reserved online. Masks will be required. “From the Vault: Wonders and Oddities from the Gardens’ Collections” and “Garden and Haven: Botanical Art and Illustration” will run through Nov. 8. “Pink Lemonade Hope: Works by Koko Bayer” and “Ghost Forest: Works by Melanie Walker will run through Dec. 6. The Freyer-Newman Center is the final step in the Garden’s four-phase development plan. Reservations or more information: botanicgardens.org.

Group show

“Synchronicity: An Acausal Connection of Meaning” will be exhibited in the Elevation Room of Pasternack’s Art Hub, 6851 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood. Open Fridays 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays noon to 4 p.m. Opening reception Oct. 2, 5-9. It features area artists, including Craig Robb, whose work is in the City of Littleton collection.

Aurora Fox

“Real, live human beings” will enjoy a show at the Aurora Fox called “Tomfoolery: The Words and Music of Tom Lehrer,” adapted by Cameron Mackintosh and Robin Ray. Castle Rock Writers

The Castle Rock Writers host an upcoming conference, “Zoom to Success,” on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to noon. They say they will have space for last-minute participants.
