What must an effective County Clerk accomplish?

An effective County Clerk must accomplish efficiency and accuracy in services, fair access to voting for qualified voters, ensure proper fiscal management of public funds and have the ability to lead an office in positive working conditions.

What traits are crucial for a County Clerk to possess?

This position demands performance accuracy and people skills that encourage staff to grow. It's important that the Clerk be able to understand end-to-end process improvement and be able to identify and drive necessary changes. I started my career leading Marines and am now a business leader in the financial services industry and a Thornton City Councilman. I know what it takes to lead a successful, efficient organization and will bring this experience to Adams County.

What makes you the best choice for this office?

I make my living driving global process improvement for one of the largest companies in the world. I'm a City Councilman for the sixth largest city and one of the fastest growing cities in the state. My focus as clerk is Transparency, Efficiency, and Accessibility. I have the proven experience to run a large organization and will make the Clerk's office work for the people of Adams County, modernizing our service and make voting easier.

What will your top priority be, if elected?

My top priority will be ensuring that we have fair, open, and honest elections. I also intend to improve cash handling controls to better protect your money, implement self-servicing options to improve efficiency, and will work with the state to give the county the option of covering ballot postage.

What else should voters know about you?

I'm a father of three, a disabled Marine Corps Veteran, I run a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the most needy among us, and am an ardent supporter of democracy.
