Littleton artists Tatiana Dowell and Michelle Lamb will exhibit new work opening from 6 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 25 at CORE New Art Space, in 40 West, at 6851 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood. Dowell creates impressionistic art that captures her passion for flowers. She is inspired by her own beautiful and colorful garden. This is Colorado

Artist Steve Griggs will jury the 2019 This is Colorado exhibit, hosted annually by Heritage Fine Arts Guild of Colorado. Entries are extended until Oct. 31 at Arapahoe.edu/2019-colorado/submission-information. The exhibit will run Dec. 3 to Jan. 16 at Colorado Gallery of the Arts, Arapahoe Community College, Littleton.

Ballet Ariel

A trio of matinees, “Peter and the Wolf,” by Ballet Ariel will be performed, each at 3 p.m.: Oct. 19, D.L. Englewood Arts Presents

Art at St. Andrew

League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters will hold a Ballot Issues Forum at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Columbine United Church, 6375 S. Platte Canyon Drive, Littleton.

Hollywood story

“Hollywood: Her Story: An Illustrated History of Women and the Movies” will be introduced at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Tattered Cover, 2426 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, by local authors Jill S. Tietjen, P.E. and Barbara Bridges.

SCFD

Nearly 300 arts, culture and science organizations from the seven-county area will receive more than $60 million in funding from the voter-created Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.

Wonderbound

Parker Symphony

“Music of the Americas: North and South” is the Parker Symphony’s program at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 18. Cleo Parker Robinson Dance will perform Copland’s “Four Dances from Rodeo” and music from Shore’s “Lord of the Rings” will be included at PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Ave., Parker. Baroque Chamber Orchestra

The Baroque Chamber Orchestra will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura St., Littleton.
