Painter, photographer join forces in exhibit at library

Two local artists who are active with the Littleton Fine Arts Guild, which operates the Depot Art Gallery, have collaborated in an exhibit on the lower level at Bemis Library, in which two sets of eyes and hands interpret their surroundings as they find them. Julia Grundmeier is a plein air painter, while Carl Paulson uses his camera to capture images to share. Bemis is located at 6014 S. Datura St., Littleton. Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday. 303-975-3961.

An Advent concert, “Star of Wonder,” will be presented at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 by the Littleton United Methodist choirs and the Colorado Chamber Orchestra. Free. LUMC is at 5894 S. Datura St., Littleton. 303-794-6379.

Sing out!

Voices West Chorale will perform “Carols by Candlelight” at several locations and will give a special short 11 a.m. Dec. 14 concert for kids at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura St. The chorale will also sing at St. Timothy’s Church, 1401 E. Dry Creek Road, Centennial, at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 and 14, and on Dec. 15 at King of Glory Church, 11001 W. 58th Ave., Arvada. Included will be Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols.”

‘Tuck Everlasting’

The Denver Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and Historic Denver will hold its 8th Annual Pipe Organ Tour from 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 7, starting at University Park Methodist Church, 2180 S. University Blvd., Denver, then moving to Hamilton Hall at the University of Denver and the Evans Memorial Chapel. The 65-bell campus carillon will also play.
