Percussion from Malaysia makes its way to Colorado

“Hands Percussion: Drumbeat Inferno” brings an ensemble of Malaysian percussionists with traditional and contemporary sounds to Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons St., Lone Tree, on March 22 at 7 p.m. Chinese Shigu drums, Malay gamelan and other instruments will combine music and choreography into a lively evening introducing different cultures of Malaysia. Books, books, books!

Littleton’s FOL/M, Friends of the Library/Museum, announces its Annual Silent Auction through March 29. Two children’s books by Robert Louis Stevenson, a historic book about the Grand Canyon, Ralph Moody’s history of the stagecoach, “Children of Dickens,” and more. Bemis Library, 6014 S. Design and Build

Attention: College undergraduate and graduate students in art: April 3 is the deadline to apply for Museum of Outdoor Arts paid summer art internships, Design and Build. The Design and Build program invites students to work collaboratively in a summer program with pay. A master teacher will oversee the program. Voices West

Englewood history

The Englewood Historic Preservation Society will meet twice on March 30: 2:30 p.m. at Englewood Public Library, in the Englewood Civic Center, 1000 Englewood Parkway and at 630 p.m. at Moe’s Barbecue, 3295 S. Jazz concert
