Aug. 15 ceremony celebrates this year’s graduating class

Posted

2020’s graduating Pomona Panthers enjoyed one last chance to say goodbye at an Aug. 15 graduation ceremony at Arvada’s North Area Athletic Complex.

More than a hundred graduates were able to attend the socially distanced ceremony, with those unable to attend and those attending online also honored by Principal Andy Geise.

He added, “I just want to pause for a second and acknowledge how good it feels to be together again.”

Before the class of 2020 turned their tassels, graduate Kevin Bruno addressed the class. As a student with Down syndrome, he thanked his classmates on behalf of himself and his fellow students with special needs.

“We will never forget the many smiles you brought to our parents’ faces because you included us,” he said.
