Students in the Adams 14 School District will be doing remote learning the week of Monday, Jan. 10.

The reason is the spread of COVID cases. According to a statement from the district, Adams County has seen a 357 percent increase in cases in the last two weeks.

Meals will be available during this week of remote learning from 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. at each school. Students at Sanville Preschool can get their food at Rose Hill Elementary School, 6900 E. 58th Ave.
Meals will also be available in neighborhood locations starting Tuesday, Jan. 11. The district said it would send information about locations and times directly to families.

The district said each school's start and end times will be the same. The same applies for lunch breaks, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Middle-school sports are canceled for the week. High-school sports — with a two-person-in-attendace-per-athlete rule in place — will continue unless the Colorado High School Activities Association says otherwise. CHSAA officials said they will take their cues from local health departments.

Grounds, maintenance, building engineers, transportation, technology department employees and those in food service need to report during regularly scheduled hours, according to the district. One administrator from each campus will be on site each day.

Decisions about future remote learning needs are due by Thursday, Jan. 13, according to the district.
