‘America’s Musical Journey’ on IMAX screen at museum

“America’s Musical Journey,” a new 40-minute, 3D IMAX film, opened on Feb. 16 at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd., Denver, narrated by actor Morgan Freeman. The film follows singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces America’s music, following the footsteps of Louis Armstrong through colorful locales and cultures — including a stop at Red Rocks. Dinnertime

First Presbyterian Church, 1609 W. Littleton Blvd., invites its community to a free monthly dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 27. Cooked by volunteers, the menu includes: honey mustard chicken with noodles, herbed green beans, tossed salad with apples, fresh fruit and hand-held deserts (aka cookies!). No reservation required. `Pradhanica’

Indian Kathak Dance and world percussion will fill Lone Tree Arts Center’s stage at 8 p.m. on March 3. The Indian classical dance form features solo dancer Jin Won with a musical ensemble African djembe, Spanish cajon and Indian sitar. Littleton High School artists

Students from Littleton High School — some IB and others not, all enrolled in a studio class taught by Jennifer Jeanelle — will exhibit their work from March 6 to 18 at the Depot Art Gallery, 2069 W. Powers Ave., Littleton. They will learn about preparation and installation of an exhibit, in addition to fine-tuning individual works for public display.
