Annual art show runs through October

The Littleton Fine Arts Guild has opened its annual “This is Colorado” show of members’ works through Oct. 31 at Town Hall Arts Center’s Stanton Gallery, located in downtown Littleton at 2450 W. Main St. (Town Hall’s first show of the season will be presented at Hudson Gardens, but the box office and building will be open to visitors. LFAG will curate future exhibits at Town Hall, but some will be open to outside artists. See townhallartscenter.org for Stanton Art Gallery hours. (Note that the Heritage Fine Arts Guild’s annual show is also called “This is Colorado,” but is a completely separate exhibit, which this year will be a virtual presentation on the Arapahoe Community College Gallery of Fine Arts website from November through January.

Call for entries

Heritage Fine Arts Guild’s annual statewide juried exhibition, “This is Colorado,” will accept submissions from Sept. 28 through Oct. 9 midnight. Up to three images may be entered — $35 for members; $40 for non-members (heritage-guild.com/2020-this-is-colorado-show). The juror is Amelia Furman.

‘Almost Heaven’

“Almost Heaven,” presented by Town Hall Arts Center at Hudson Gardens through Oct. 11, is based on John Denver’s music. Tickets at THAC box office. ($47, $52.) 303-794-2787, townhallartscenter.org. Masks required, social distancing, e-tickets, wheelchair-accessible. Performances at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays. All tickets, whether purchased at the box office, online or by phone, will be print-at-home, received by email. They will be sold in “Pods,” socially distanced from others. Bring folding chairs or blankets, or request Hudson Gardens chairs. Box office hours: Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Aurora Fox

The Aurora Fox season will include: “Tomfoolery” Sept. 18 to Oct. 11; “Black Nativity” Nov. 27 to Dec. 20; “The Pavilion” Jan. 29 to Feb. 21; “Queens Girl in the World” March 12 to April 4; “Wonderland: Alice’s Rock and Roll Adventure” April 23 to May 16. See aurorafox.org, 303-739-1970.

Larkspur festival

Larkspur Autumn Arts and Crafts Fest, at Larkspur Community Park on Sept. 19 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. will have 50 booths, food and refreshment area. More information at larkspurchamberofcommerce.com.

New hours in Littleton

Littleton’s Bemis Library and Littleton Museum announce expanded hours. Library: Monday through Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Museum: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations required: 303-795-3950. Timed entry required.
