In a series of tweets, police said someone turned in an item containing the small urn to the department's property and evidence unit. That was in August. The department said attempts to find the owner "through investigation," hasn't worked, which is the reason behind the public plea for help.
The urn is about 1.75 inches high and contains the words "My Dad. My Hero. My Angel" on the front. Police recovered it from inside a stolen car parked at 6200 E. 62nd Ave.
