While the national political race for the office of President, and control of the Senate remains up in the air, Colorado's voting system and local politics proved to give much more definitive results. With the notable exception of the 18th Judicial District DA's race, most every other race and ballot measure in the Denver metro area can safely be called. That includes the state's congressional delegation races, which favored incumbents in most races, except in the case of Senator Corey Gardner, who lost his seat to former Governor John Hickenlooper.

Adams County voters opted to approve of two sales tax measures, and kept the board of county commissioners in the Democrats' hands.
It was also a good night for county-level Democrats in Jefferson and Arapahoe counties as well.
Lakewood's existing medical marijuana businesses can start selling their product commercially, as well as build grow facilities in the city limits, following the passage of 2B.
Arapahoe County saw some election observers, both wanted and unwanted.
Littleton schools also got a boost.
