Exhibit aims to express experiences of women

Curtis Center for the Arts, 2349 E. Orchard Road, in a historic schoolhouse in Greenwood Village, will present an exhibit by the Colorado Women’s Caucus for the Arts called “Old Myths, New Stories” from Nov. 2 to Dec. 23. It is described as: “expressing ideas about the experience of women in the arts through time and today.” Center hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. 303-797-1779.

Littleton’s OAO

Littleton Museum’s annual “Own an Original,” with a theme of “Liberating Humor,” will be held Nov. 20 to Jan. 3. Registration via CAFE. More details coming soon.

Aurora’s Vintage Theatre

We had recommended Vintage Theatre’s “Murderers,” which was to open last weekend, but county orders closed it and they now say they will not open until 2021, alas! We will let readers know when they can enjoy this theatre in Aurora again.

Pollinator summit

Professor Dave Goulson, University of Sussex, England, will be keynote speaker at a daylong virtual meeting, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 5, hosted by the Colorado Pollinator Network. Rodney Rice

“SAME SHIrT, DIFFERENT DAY” is a new release by West Virginia’s singer/songwriter Rodney Rice, who has recently moved to Littleton. His sophomore album was produced by Andre Moran at Congress House Studios in Austin, Texas, where Rice recorded his 2014 album, “Empty Pockets and a Troubled Mind.” Visit rodneyrice.hearnow.com.

CORE New Art Space

New Englewood art

The long-running Twin Dragon Restaurant, at 3021 S Broadway, Englewood, has a new mural on the north side, painted by Museum of Outdoor Arts’ 2020 Design and Build Fellow A. J. Davis and Amanda Wolf. Also designed by Davis: a new crosswalk at Girard Avenue and South Broadway, with a time-lapse piece by Amanda Wolf.

‘This Is Colorado’ show and awards

From Nov. 1 to Jan. 30, 2021, the Virtual “This is Colorado” exhibit will be on the Colorado Gallery of the Arts’ Virtual Gallery at Arapahoe Community College. Cindy Welch classes
