Frederick moves onto regional softball tournament

AURORA -- Frederick High School earned the 13th seed and faces Golden at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, to open the class 4A regional softball tournament at Riverdale Ridge High School. The Ravens play Palisade, also at 10 a.m.

The two winning teams play at 12:15 p.m. for the first of the two state tournament berths. The two losing teams also play at 12:15 p.m. The winner of the consolation game faces the losing squad from the first state-qualifying match at 3 p.m. for the last state tournament spot.

The state tournament starts Friday, Oct. 22, at Aurora Sports Park, East Colfax Avenue east of Tower Road.
