Sure, a lot of traditions are on hold this year, but fortunately the Reinke Bros. Haunted Mansion isn’t one of them.

The epic haunted house is one of just a handful operating in the Denver metro area this year, thanks to a hefty helping of disease prevention practices like temperature screenings, keeping the actors behind Plexiglas, keeping groups small and spacing out visitors with a reservation system.

But that doesn’t mean the experience is any less scary. Spread over 34 spooky rooms, the haunted house provides loads of frights, jumps, gross-outs and freak-outs.

“We still came up with plenty of ways to scare the pants off you,” said Greg Reinke, who owns the combination haunted house and emporium of costumes and magic. “The plus side is, with the groups spaced out like this, you’re pretty much on your own in there. It’s a great experience.”

The Haunted Mansion is at 5663 S. Prince St. in Littleton, and runs through Nov. 1.

Tickets are $19 per person Sunday through Thursday and $22 per person on Friday and Saturday. A special lights-on tour is available for younger kids on Saturday and Sunday and costs $10 per person.
