A Highlands Ranch man is under investigation for allegations of child assault in Douglas County, Denver and Aurora.

Joseph Spector, 44, is facing multiple charges of child sexual assault for incidents in Denver and Aurora, as well as two open investigations for potential crimes against children in Douglas County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on Spector and his alleged crimes. Anyone with information or who has a child who may have been victimized can contact Corporal Sarah Clay at sclay@dcsheriff.net or (303) 660-7505.

Citing the sensitive nature of the crimes and the ongoing investigations, DCSO said no other information is available.

Spector is an employee of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. A spokesperson for the Goddard Space Flight Center did not comment on the allegations.

“We are aware of the allegations; I’m afraid we cannot speak to personnel actions regarding individual employees,” Robert Garner, news chief for the Goddard Space Flight Center, said in an email.
