A 40th anniversary celebration of the latest segment of history for the historic Highlands Ranch Mansion will take place on Sept. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the upstairs auditorium at the Southridge Recreation Center, 4800 McArthur Ranch Road in Highlands Ranch.

The first home was built on the site in 1891, and in the last 40 years it has become a landmark for a new community.
