In-N-Out Burger, the popular fast food chain based out of California, is looking at Parker for its next drive-through restaurant location.

The company submitted a preliminary site plan for a 3,000-square-foot eatery on the southwest corner of the Pine Lane and Parker Road intersection, according to the town’s project tracking website.

This would be the sixth Colorado location for the franchise. Grand openings of other In-N-Outs in Colorado have had wait times lasting several hours that have continued for weeks after.

For several weeks after the opening of the Lone Tree location, the store had a police presence, a dedicated lane of traffic outside the restaurant and traffic coordinators. 

The project will require a public hearing before the planning commission and the town council because of an associated zoning amendment. This meeting has not yet been scheduled, according to a town spokesperson.

In a statement to Colorado Community Media, Mike Abbate, the assistant vice president of real estate and development for In-N-Out, said that they are still in the “development application process” and therefore it’s too early to say when or if the location will happen.

“Being a good neighbor is very important to us at In-N-Out, both at our current locations, as well as at prospective sites,” Abbate said. “Throughout the planning process, our intent is to be sure that any concerns are addressed, and to make any necessary adjustments in the hope that our business will only be a positive presence in the community. “

Typically, once construction begins for their locations, it takes about six to seven months for them to open, he said. 

“We do know that Parker is a wonderful community, and we are excited about the prospect of opening for business there,” he said.
