Letter - Weekly brings vast experience

Posted

Darren Weekly is the experienced Republican candidate for Douglas County sheriff. The primary election is June 28.

Darren is a captain with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and he has been with this department for 28 years. His background, training and experience far exceeds that of any other candidate. He has served and protected our community as a field training officer, SWAT operator, undercover narcotics detective, K9 handler, lead detective securing major convictions and homicide convictions, and he is the coordinator for the 18th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team.

Darren is the only candidate who will be ready on day one. The other candidates require a learning curve of six to eight months to figure out what needs to be done in the sheriff’s office.

Darren is the only candidate who has received endorsements from the current sheriffs of Douglas County, Jefferson County and El Paso County, the El Paso and Teller counties DA, former governor Bill Owens, the South Metro Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 47 and the Colorado Fraternal Order of Police.

We urge you to vote for Darren Weekly in the upcoming election. He really is the best choice.

Ron and Maureen Gedeon
