Over the past year, a friend of mine who is Asian-American has been encountering discourtesy and sometimes downright hostility in Brighton and the county that she can only really ascribe to racial prejudice. This ought not be. We are all Americans together and under our constitution and Declaration of Independence have pledged to do better than that. So we must be.
