A 39-year-old man was stabbed in the arm by another man in the area of South Broadway in central Englewood on May 12, according to Englewood police.
A 40-year-old suspect fled on foot, but officers arrested him nearby, according to Investigator Scot Allen, a spokesman for Englewood police.
Police responded to the stabbing about 1:20 p.m. in the area of the 4100 block of South Broadway, Allen said. That's near Oxford Avenue.
The victim was treated at an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has been released, Allen said.
Police did not say whether the victim and suspect were known to each other, whether the stabbing resulted from an altercation, or whether the suspect stabbed the victim as part of an attempted other crime, citing the ongoing investigation.
“Since the suspect is in custody, there is no additional danger to the public,” Allen said.
