The Denver Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has named China Califf as its new director.
The Denver Metro SBDC is an affiliate of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
As director of the Denver Metro SBDC, Califf will “oversee a team committed to providing educational programming, one-on-one free consulting and virtual resources to Colorado entrepreneurs,” a news release stated.
“We are excited to have Califf join our Denver Metro SBDC and the chamber family at the time our small business community needs us most,” said Kelly Brough, Denver Metro Chamber’s president and CEO, in a news release. “Califf understands the strengths and changing needs of this community.”
Califf brings her experience of helping entrepreneurs and small businesses start and grow to the Denver Metro SBDC, the release said. For 17 years, Califf was involved with Colorado Lending Source where she led branding and marketing strategies, worked with Colorado’s Congressional Delegation and oversaw operations. Colorado Lending Source has been a key partner of the Denver Metro SBDC for two decades, and in her new role, Califf will continue to foster that partnership.
“Particularly at this moment in time, the types of education and opportunities needed by entrepreneurs are shifting and I firmly believe the Denver Metro SBDC network is well-positioned to adapt to the changing environment of where and how we do business,” Califf said in the release. “I feel honored to continue the work of helping small businesses and the visionary entrepreneurs behind them to start, grow and prosper through the Denver Metro SBDC.”
