Cale Brush (No. 1 singles), Tyler Rock (No. 2 singles), Jack Windslow (No. 3 singles) and the No. 1 doubles team of Carson David and Brett Sweeney recorded the Warriors' wins.
The win moved the Warriors into a second-round match at Fossil Ridge Oct. 1. The Sabercats won it byh a score of 5-2. Rock won his No. 2 singles match in straight sets, and the No. 2 doubles team of Cole Garside and Clayton Wedn won its match in three sets, including a 12-10, tie-breaker that accounted for the third set.
This is the first year for the state team tennis tourneys. The state tournament for individuals is set for the second week in October.
