Incumbent Republican Colin Larson is set to face Democrat Mary Parker this November for the Colorado state House District 22 seat after defeating Justin Everett in the primary election that ended June 30.

In unofficial returns early July 1 from the mostly south Jefferson County district, Larson, a Littleton Republican in his first term in the seat, held 56.2% of the vote while Everett, another Littleton Republican, had 43.8%.

District 22 includes parts of unincorporated south Jefferson County, Lakewood and Ken Caryl.

Parker, who ran unopposed, pulled 12,349 votes in unofficial results, slightly ahead of the Republicans' combined total of 11,922.

Larson has served in the Colorado House of Representatives since 2019. He is anti-abortion and says he opposes Obamacare and socialized medicine. Larson's website reads that he is focused on strengthening Colorado education and defending the Second Amendment and the Taxpayer Bill of Rights.

Everett previously represented District 22 in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. He lost in the Republican primary for Colorado treasurer in 2018 to Brian Watson.
