Arapahoe Community College art students combine talents with artists from Colorado School for the Blind, located in Littleton, for an exhibit that runs through Nov. 19 at the college’s Colorado Gallery of the Arts, 5900 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton. Admission free, Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Colorado Symphony

“The Brightness of Light,” scheduled this weekend, Nov. 15 (7:30 p.m.) and Nov. 17 (1 p.m.) by the Colorado Symphony, will be a premiere performance of the new work by Kevin Puts. Featuring superstar Renee Fleming, it is based on the story of painter Georgia O’Keeffe, her husband, photographer Alfred Steiglitz, and the New Mexico landscape she loved. Boettcher Concert Hall in downtown Denver. Coloradosymphony.org.

Own an original

The annual “Own an Original” exhibit opens Nov. 22 at the Littleton Museum, 6028 S. Gallup St., Littleton, and continues through December — an ideal location to find that really special holiday gift … 303-795-3950.

Depot Art Gallery

The Annual Holiday Art and Gift Market opens Nov. 19 at the Depot Art Gallery, 2069 W. Powers Ave., Littleton, and a shopper will also find a selection of one-of-a-kind gifts that range from paintings to jewelry and ceramic pieces. Open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 8 p.m. on Fridays; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Holiday production

“Meet Me in St. Louis” is open through Dec. 29 at Town Hall Arts Center, 2450 W. Littleton Blvd. through Dec. 29. A family production about a family anticipating the 1904 Chicago World’s Fair. Coat giveaway

During November, check the closet for any extra gently worn coats you might share and take them to a South Suburban Parks and Recreation facility, where they will be collected for men, women and children who need them. See sspr.org.

Fielder photographs

Highlands Ranch Historical Society presents a program on Nov. 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. by photographer John Fielder from his new “Colorado in Black and White” book. He will tell stories and offer photo tips, as well as sell his books. He also has a new one for children, about his early years: “John Fielder in focus.” Southridge Recreation Center, 4800 McArthur Ranch Road, Highlands Ranch.

Pottery sale
