Two people suspected of shooting at cars on Santa Fe Drive in Littleton on Aug. 4 were arrested later the same night on suspicion of shooting at cars in Adams County, police said on Aug. 5.

Theodore Hrdlicka, 49, and Courtney Hrdlicka, 30, were booked into the Adams County Jail on five counts each of attempted murder and three counts each of illegal discharge of a firearm. They are being held on $100,000 bail each, according to court records.

Littleton Police responded to a shooting at Santa Fe Drive and Prince Street just after 6 p.m., said Littleton Police spokesman Rick Redmond.

Following a road rage incident between a gray pickup truck and a BMW SUV, an occupant of the pickup fired numerous shots at the BMW while fleeing northbound on Santa Fe, according to a news release from the Littleton Police Department. Two other cars were also hit by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

About an hour later, an occupant of the truck fired shots at three other vehicles in the area of I-25 and U.S. Highway 36, according to a news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Lipan Drive in unincorporated Adams County after a victim followed the truck to the house, according to the news release. Deputies questioned several people at the house, as well as victims, witnesses and suspects.

Littleton Police have not yet charged the couple with any crimes, and are working with Adams County law enforcement and the district attorney to determine the most appropriate venue for filing charges, according to the news release.

Theodore Hrdlicka’s last registered address was near Louviers in Douglas County. The couple got married in mid-July, according to a social media page.
