Douglas County Libraries features two authors in August whom readers may wish to see and hear. At the Lone Tree Library at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 2, Andrea Bobotis will talk about her debut novel, “The Last List of Miss Judith Krantz.” At the Highlands Ranch Library at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 19, C.J. Box, award-winning author of the Joe Pickett Series, will talk about his new Cassie Dewall thriller, “The Bitterroots.” Book sales and signing follow authors’ talks. YA novel to be published

“Postcards for a Songbird” will be published Aug. 6 by foothills author Rebecca Crane, a popular YA author and former teacher who writes about lonely young Wren Plumley.

Community dinner

The free monthly community dinner at First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, 1609 W. Littleton Blvd., will be at 6 p.m. July 30. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, creamy coleslaw, fresh fruit and handheld desserts. No reservation needed. Info: 303-798-1389, fpcl.org/dinner.

Dance/theater

Wonderbound Dance Company will be included in a new version of Puccini’s opera, “Madame Butterfly” at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, 2344 E. Iliff Ave, Denver, July 25-28. Called “Ms. Butterfly,” tickets will be available at the Newman Center. See newmancenterpresents.com.

Miners Alley

Town Hall Arts Center
