The South Adams County Fire Department stopped by Kearney Middle School in Commerce City with some 230 bikes and helmets for the sixth-graders; the gifts were free. The day ended with a bike parade.
 
The Wish for Wheels program at the Commerce City Walmart and the Commerce City police department co-sponsored the event. Partners for the day were Northglenn Ambulance in partnership with the fire department, Box State Barbers-Turnberry, Adams County Fire Rescue and the city of Commerce City.
