His only loss was in the semifinals, a 3-2 decision against Thompson Valley's Jackzen Rairdon. Hague won his next two matches, a 2-1 win over Broomfield's Cody Tanner and a 7-6 win over Jefferson's Samuel Rosales.
RRHS was 34th in the team standings.
Legacy's Quinn ?Fubnk finished third at 190 pounds. His only loss in the tournament was in the quarterfinals. After that, Funk won four straight matches, two by pinfall, to claim third place. He earned a tough, 5-4 decision over Justin Cullen of Pomona in the third-place contest.
Matthew Clifton took fifth at 120 pounds. He won three of four matches in the consolation bracket to claim fifth place. He won the fifth-place match by injury default.
Brennon Joiner took fifth at 132 pounds. He, too, lost in the qaurterfinal round and had to take three of four in the consolation bracket for his place on the podium. Joiner needed overtime to beat BOulder's Abraham Pomeroy 4-2 to win fifth place.
LHS was eighth in the team standings.
No one from Holy Family High School placed in the top six of their respective weight claxsses. The Tigers tied for 38th place in the team standings.
The three schools were among 46 high schools from Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado to send teams to the annual Top of the Rockies tournament at Centaurus High School. It's regarded as one of the tougher tournaments on the prep wrestling calendar. Some say it's even tougher than the state tournament next month at Ball Arena.
