The city confirmed the candidates for November's general election. In all, five candidates submitted petitions sufficient to get a spot on the Nov. 7 ballot.
In Ward 1, incumbent David Crespin will face challenger Kellie S. Cruz. In Ward 2, incumbent Chris Ceretto will face Bushrod B. White for that seat.
Fort Lupton City Councilors serve staggered four year terms, with half of the seats up for election every two years. The city has two councilors for each ward. Mayor Zo Hubbard and councilors Valerie Backston, Claud Hanes and Carlos Barron will all see their terms expire in 2025.
