Suany Melgar Almendarez, 41, was found dead in an alleyway in Englewood Sept. 11.

A press release from the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy was performed on Almendarez, who had a gunshot wound to the head.

Her death has been ruled a homicide.

The Englewoood Police Department is leading the investigation. The department is not releasing any further details at this time.
