What makes you the best choice for this office?

I have shown over the past two years that I will work to pass meaningful legislation that improves the lives of every citizen of House District 30 and Colorado as a whole. I will continue to listen to the concerns of all of my constituents and place their interests above anything else.

What can the Legislature do to ease the strain of rising housing prices on Colorado residents?

I think the legislature needs to be creative in the way we approach incentives to builders of manufactured housing communities, as well as affordable housing that is ownership based rather than rent based, so that we can see lower income communities build wealth like the rest of Colorado.

What can be done to ensure the state's transportation system will be able to accommodate continued population growth?

Similarly, to affordable housing, this is an issue in which TABOR plays a significant role. As such, we have to find every way possible to invest in our roads outside of the strictures of our current tax codes, but within the rule of law.

What two issues demand more attention in the upcoming Legislative session than they received in the previous one, and why?

Number one for me will always be stemming the youth and adult suicide epidemic that we are facing. It is a true epidemic and the bills that were brought forth to address it were stopped in the Republican-controlled Senate for disingenuous reasons.

Our education system also needs help. To the extent that we can help, we must find a way to prepare our children to lead our country, and protect and provide for our educators.

If elected, what must you accomplish in order for you to consider your term a success?

I will consider my term a success when we have put laws in place that will save even one life - whether directly or by creating a better environment for our citizens.
