I have seen CDOT build a complete four-lane lane bridge in two months. This ongoing Jackass Hill Road culvert project is simply a joke. This ongoing two-month project has closed a primary and only access for emergency evacuation to over 5,000 homes. The closure has isolated these residents requiring them to drive over 10 minutes out of their way through foreign neighborhoods, while impacting the neighborhood safety with an increase in traffic, just to get groceries or a haircut. Many businesses in Aspen Grove and near Mineral and Broadway have mentioned a sharp drop in customer volume and sales. The project continues to lumber along with minimal daily progress.. This project oversight has been and is totally unacceptable, and to stand by and watch several workers move dirt and cement pipes around is hard to understand. The City of Littleton decision to save a dime while stepping over a dollar is impacting many tax payers. On the next little road project, please hire a competent experienced contractor.
