Town Talk: Parker Arts unveils 2023/24 season schedule

The PACE Center is one of the gems of our community, a unique facility that attracts a variety of in-demand arts and cultural offerings to Parker. Thanks to PACE’s 534-seat mainstage theater, optimal site lines and excellent acoustics, patrons are able to experience established, national acts, as well as up-and-coming performers, all in an intimate setting.

Parker’s connection with arts and culture extends beyond the PACE Center. The historic Schoolhouse’s theater provides our community with a secondary, smaller venue that is the perfect setting for more modest productions, including community theater, children’s performances and other smaller-scale concerts and recitals.

Parker Arts’ goal is to make the arts accessible to everyone in our community. Our staff is able to book an impressive lineup every year that offers something from everyone. The recently announced Parker Arts 2023/24 season schedule, unveiled last month, features a mix of performances that includes national and regional performers, musical theater productions, local orchestra and jazz performances, cultural events, and family programming for all ages.

Headlining this year’s schedule are several well-known, national acts, such as GRAMMY® Award honoree Don McLean (Oct. 5), chart-topping Spin Doctors & Sister Hazel (Nov. 2), Christian rock band Unspoken (Nov. 11), the charming Vienna Boys Choir (Oct. 29), classic rockers Foghat (Feb. 17), and country trio Roots & Boots featuring Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye and Sammy Kershaw (April 11). Parker Arts has also booked an early-season concert by an Academy of Country Music Award winner. Look for an announcement about this special performer to be made soon!

Joining these national musical acts on the upcoming season schedule are a pair of well-known comics, two-time Emmy Award nominee Michael Yo (Sept. 30) and the outrageously funny Karen Morgan (April 13). If you are a true comedy enthusiast, you’ll want to check out our Comedy Zone program that regularly brings performances from other A-list comedians to The Schoolhouse.

The 2023/24 season also features several musical tributes, such as Good Times/Bad Times: The Best of Led Zeppelin (Nov. 3), Electric Avenue: The 80s MTV Experience (March 1), and The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band playing exclusively for Parker Arts Members (Oct. 15). Parker Arts’ popular Uncharted Music Series also returns to The Schoolhouse theater this season. Musical theater performances include Murder for Two (Oct. 27 to Nov. 19), School of Rock (Jan. 19 to Feb. 10) and Legally Blonde The Musical (June 28 to July 21).

Other unique show include Jamie Allan’s IMagician (Nov. 10) and the all-male percussive dance group Malevo (March 2), as well as the multi-sensory live show iLuminate (March 28).

This holiday season will be another busy one at the PACE Center, as A Classic Parker Holiday (Dec. 9 and 10) and The Nutcracker (Dec. 14 to 19) return along with Christmas with the Celts (Nov. 30), the platinum-selling Squirrel Nut Zippers (Nov. 29), and hitmakers Firefall and Orleans (Nov. 25). Patrons are also invited to a very special movie presentation of Christmas Vacation (Dec. 1) in the PACE Center theater.

This is just a small selection of the exciting lineup Parker Arts has planned for the next year. View the full season schedule and purchase tickets when they open to the general public on July 24 at ParkerArts.org.
