Seven Prairie View High School athletes took the plunge and signed collegiate letters of intent during an April 19 ceremony at the school.

Marcus Sanchez signed on for baseball at Otero Junior College. Desirae and Demirae Woolsey, who are twins, signed their softball letters with Western Nebraska Community College. Jeff Nelson signed to play golf at Colorado State University-Pueblo, while Braden Stauffer signed his letter to play basketball at Carthage College.

Isaac Manaugh opted to play baseball at College of the Desert in Palm Springs, California. Soccer player Brooklyn McKinney chose to play soccer at the College of St. Mary's in Minnesota.

"As a coach, to have this many kids move to the next level is one of my favorite things to see," said former PVHS wrestling coach and now athletic director Jason Humphrey.

We'll have more in the April 28 edition of the Brighton Standard Blade.
