AURORA -- Spring snowstorms forced a change in the schedule for relreasing this year's state soccer playoff brackets.

The Colorado High School Activities Association pushed the end of the boys soccer season to Monday, April 19, thanks to last week's snow and lack of available fields, according to Brad Cochi, CHSAA's new digital media director. That extension also delayed the announcement of the state soccer playoff teams to Tuesday, April 20.

CHSAA assistant commissioner Justin Saylor said avalable dates for first-round games are Wednesday, April 21, and Thursday, April 22. Both schools have to agree to play April 21; otherwise the game will take place April 22.

Quarterfinal round games are set for Saturday, April 24. The state championship games are set for Saturday, May 1.
