LHS had to rally in the seventh inning for a come-from-behind, 8-7 win over Heritage in the first game. Kendall Aragon reached base on an error to drive home Kate Walker with the winning run.
Samantha Bocis had a base hit and two RBIs. Elena Free had three hits and drove in a pair of runs. Pitchers Janessa Esquibel, who got credit for the win, and Khloe Kubitschek struck out six.
The Lightning had an easier time of things with Cherokee Trail. LHS won that contest 7-2. Aragon had three hits and drove in a pair of runs. Free added two hits and an RBI. Bochis and Mansur Reese had two hits.
Esquibel picked up the win in this game, too. She recorded six strikeouts.
