Littleton police have arrested a second person they believe to have been involved with the man who shot and injured Littleton officer David Snook, according to a City of Littleton press release Wednesday. 

On Oct. 7, officers arrested 33-year-old Blanca Arrieta, who police believe was the person accompanying 33-year-old Rigoberto Valles Dominguez when Snook and another officer, Jeff Farmer, responded to a call of shots fired in the area of West Powers Avenue and Bannock Street in northeast Littleton Sept. 20. 

Arrieta and Dominguez fled, according to police, who followed Dominguez into an apartment building when he turned and shot Snook several times. Both Dominguez and Arrieta had initially escaped, police said. 

Dominguez was arrested Sept. 24 by the Brighton Police Department, as well as several other agencies, after a standoff in which Dominguez had barricaded himself inside a home at the 1100 block of South 27th Avenue south of East Bromley Lane in Brighton

Snook was hospitalized in intensive care the night of the shooting, officials said.  Farmer, who injured himself chasing after Dominguez, is off duty as he recovers with his family. 

Arrieta was initially held without bond at the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Detention Facility, city officials said. She was granted a bond of $50,000, posted on Oct. 9, and is no longer in custody, officials said.

Arrieta attended a formal filing of charges with the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office on Oct. 13 where she was charged with one count of accessory to attempted first-degree murder and one count of accessory to a crime involving a felony.

Though she remains on bond, Arrieta is required to wear a GPS monitor as she awaits a formal court hearing later this year, officials said.
